 The Stiftung experimentelle Biomedizin is a non-profit foundation constituted under Swiss law and domiciled in Zurich. The Stiftung experimentelle Biomedizin is subject to supervision by the Swiss Federal Department of the Interior in Berne. The Stiftung experimentelle Biomedizin is committed to supporting research projects in the field of molecular biology of cardiovascular diseases, molecular hepatogastroenterology as well as molecular dermatology. Furthermore, the Stiftung experimentelle Biomedizin supports scientific journalism. As regards the area of operations covered by the Stiftung experimentelle Biomedizin is Switzerland, Germany and Austria. Every other year, the Stiftung experimentelle Biomedizin provides for an endowed professorship in honor of the life-time achievements of Prof. Dr. Dr. Peter Hans Hofschneider, who is respected for his ground-breaking contributions to the field of Molecular Medicine. In addition, the Stiftung experimentelle Biomedizin annually bestows an endowed award in the amount of CHF 20,000.00, which award is designed to encourage scientific journalism. The foundation board of the Stiftung experimentelle Biomedizin is advised by a number of personalities that are working in the aforementioned fields and whose commitment to the foundation's mission is based on professional competence as well as on mindset and previous engagements. |
